What is the South Florida HBCU Picnic?
Founded in 2014, the South Florida HBCU Picnic is an intergenerational family-friendly event for
HBCU alumni, students, and family members. It is the largest gathering of Black professionals in
South Florida.
Where will the picnic be held?
The 7th Annual South Florida HBCU Picnic will take place at Florida Memorial University in
Miami Gardens, FL.
Where can I register?
Click here to register. Select the “donate” ticket to contribute to the South Florida HBCU
Scholarship Fund.
Will there be food?
Food will be available for purchase, but you can also bring food and picnic baskets. Also, check your local alumni association for their catering arrangements.
Is alcohol allowed?
Florida Memorial University prohibits the serving of alcohol.
How do I get my school, business, or organization involved?
HBCUs or HBCU alumni associations interested in participating in the picnic must email
info@sfhbcupicnic.com. The deadline to participate is May 15, 2023.
If your alumni association is inactive, but you would like to secure space for your alumni, you
can participate as well.
